Storage and transport equipment comes from the Italian manufacturer SILESFOR, built to current industrial standards. Automatech delivered the automation and all of the electrical installation.
A PLC runs the facility, and an industrial PC hosts the operator software, with dynamic equipment signalling, error notifications and automatic and manual modes. The system can run 36 industrial processes, up to four of them in parallel.
The design focuses on robustness: it detects and contains both unintentional operator errors and deliberate misuse.
